Youths for Intellectualism and Behavioral Improvement Global Outreach (‘YFIBIGO’) is a non-profit organization whose programs are designed to deliberately and consciously evoke the finest qualities in our youths and make those qualities the controlling factors in their everyday life.
We campaign for an improved society, which can be achieved by reconstructing the entire system that includes education, political democracy, economic, socioreligious actions, etc., to be founded upon a spirituality-morality base and guided by an African philosophy of life. We campaign for the implementation of ‘’African education’’ as a need awakened by the circumstances of history at a time when the most important facts are immediate – corruption, intermittent youth uprising, delinquency, vices, crimes - armed banditry, organ trafficking, kidnapping, terrorism, killings, etc. We campaign for equality and social justice and use the humanizing moral influence to tame chaos in a society where the sense of community development was intentionally destroyed, making greed the index of salvation. Because there has not been an effective counter force to check the growth of the menace, YFIBIGO is designed to recover people predisposed to a dominant trend of evil, corruption, inappropriate behaviors, etc.
Since finding the solutions to fixing the youths problem is exceptionally difficult and complex in a country like Nigeria, and working out the details far surpasses the capacity of a single organization, YFIBIGO is calling for individuals and organizations who can help, to present factual materials of study and indicate what their studies mean in supporting our campaign for a way out of the many current predicament. We are calling for everyone who has recognized the urgency of the matter - students, scholars, scientists, etc., and especially those with revolutionary and inspiring ideas to come and assume active participant roles in YFIBIGO.
We are bent on welcoming the cause of the changes and gladly encouraging innovation in the modern world and everything that will keep our youth abreast of the times.
To keep emphasizing the development of youths who are fully integrated with whatever spiritual and moral forces there are in the world for the development of finer human beings, who can render national development, and yield the peace of mind from kidnappings, armed banditry, rampant killings, corruption, and overwhelming culture of bad practices. To make the emphasis on capital formation to reach everyone by way of free and mandatory education- vocational and academic from primary through specialization and professional training, in addition to pioneering the youths to create their jobs and support them to succeed, raise the standard of life to one of dignity and ensure security for all members of the society under responsible leadership.
YFIBIGO's intent goes contrary to the prevailing system of the survival of the fittest theory of capitalism, in favor of a ‘’cooperative system’’ of life, which must be designed to check stark greed and introduce an economic system of justice and mercy. Our intent is to secure extensive circulation, sympathetic consideration, and active participation in our work by all interested in Nigeria's condition. It is also expected that carefully considering our platform for the campaign for ‘’reconstruction’’ will ultimately lead, if not to adopting methods altogether new for the educational system and the humane economic system, to an extensive modification of some older Nigerian methods worth reconstructing.
In the near future, YFIBIGO hopes to become the one-stop place for information that deals with the grave questions that affect Nigeria and the rest of Africa, setting forth the solutions to our people, secular and religious, to meet our needs. Seeing the overwhelming evidence pointing to the root causes of youths’ psychosocial problems, to become a central coordinator in coordinating relevant youth-focused projects that network together in youths' interests to achieve more through the joint campaign.
